[SHANNON SEWELL] Children’s Portraiture & Creativity

Many photographers purchase manufactured backdrops for their studio.  There’s the option of paper, muslin, fabric, etc.  But what if you made your own?  Based in Portland, OR, Shannon Sewell creates themed shoots that are beyond the ordinary.  From the details of the child’s attire to the inventive props and constructed backgrounds, this children’s commercial photographer places a child into an entertaining environment that echos youthful imagination.

Sewell is not just creative with managing her time in the studio, she’s inventive in her ways of juggling the duties in her own home.  Shannon has found a way to include her children with the crafts and designs of her shoots and even brings them along as she travels the country for mentoring and workshops.  Photography is her passion, creativity is her talent, and motherhood is her utter happiness.
